Evaluation of Tasks

I was pleased with the final outcome but didn't feel as though i had achieved as many of my targets which i had set prior to the production of the poster, but instead i developed some new skills which i didn't know before.
My first task was to manipulate a photographic image, i didn't manipulate my main image in any way but i did add various filters add effects to it in order to give it a textured and distorted feel, Some of things i feel i could have done was to make the image darker and have more shadows cast across the image in order to make it seem more gritty and scary.
I also wanted incorporate the ideas of others within my final piece , which i feel i kind of achieved but most feed back i received was after we finished the final product but if i was to edit IT again i would have various things i could change in order to satisfy and attract my audience even more.
I then wanted to do more research into my genre rather than focusing upon production of the poster which i feel i achieved but it was quite minimal, as there isn't that much information about what are the typical conventions as they change over different periods of time.
I then wanted to incorporate some drawn images into my photographed ones. This i didn't do but instead used more photographed images and attempted to use them in an imaginative way whilst at the same time looking quite natural, this i was able to achieve with the various tools made available within 'Photoshop' which i felt actually looked better than if i was to add drawn images.
My final task was to follow the conventions of other similar products within my own whilst at the same time adding my own personal touch, but i mostly stayed true to the conventions of the horror poster genre. I did this by staying with the typical convention of a close up photograph as the main image which i manipulated in some way with a typical horror slogan above the title to attract the audience.
I don't feel as though the target system worked for me as i like to go off and explore new ideas and tools rather than sticking to one specific path.
